Abstract: |
Arthritis is a series of inflammatory diseases caused by inflammation, infection, trauma, degeneration or other factors in joints and tissues around joints. In recent years, the prevalence rate of arthritis has increased significantly. Clinically, representative arthritis include rheumatoid arthritis, spinal arthritis (typified by ankylosing spondylitis),gout, osteoarthritis, etc. In recent years, research has gradually attached importance to the study of inflammatory cytokines in these diseases, including a variety of inflammatory factors in the interleukin family (IL) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α). Recent studies have found that acupuncture and moxibustion may participate in the pathogenic pathway of relevant inflammatory factors in the treatment of such diseases, and through regulating the level of such cytokines, thus improving inflammatory response, providing theoretical and experimental basis for clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of arthritis. |
