Abstract
[Objective] To probe into the genetic effect of chromosome X on the development and function of human ovary. [Methods] Twenty-eight patients with primacy or secondary or irregular amenorrhea due to numerical or structural abnormity of chromosome were analyzed. Their sex hormone was detected simultaneously. [Result] Seventeen cases belong to numerical abnormity and 11 cases to structural abnormity. FSH and LH in cases with 4S, XO were higher than in healthy person [t=19.565 (FSH), t=19.091(LH), P=0.000 (FSH,LH)]. They also higher than in other patients with numerical abnormity [t=4.531,P=0.012 (FSH); t=3.478, P=0.013 (LH)]. [Conclusion] Numerical or structural abnormity of chromosome X are the main causes of disturbance of ovary development and function.
