| Laogong (PC 8) is good at clearing fire in the heart and stomach,and is one of the thirteen-ghost points. For the syndrome of heart mind disturbing by excessive fire or turbidity qi adverse rising caused by stomach fire,Laogong can performs the functions of clearing heat and fire,opening the orifice to wake up the patient. The practitioners in ancient times stressed the indications of Laogong point on mental illness and heart and stomach disorders due to heat. It is a commonly used and effective point in dlinic.The article arranged the ancient documents and modern application of Laogong point in order to under the point roundly and systematically. |
