| Abstract

| The method of science hypothesis is one of the hypothetical, guess and explanation. It was an important mode of thinking in nature science theory, having scientific, hypothetical and changeable characteristics. It had guiding effect on science research and was a bridge to science truth. In the process of historic development of TCM, many doctors advanced and applied several kinds of hypothesis, established a series of theoretic standpoint and guiding principles in many aspects, such as physiology, pathology, therapy with syncfnome differentiation, therapeutic principle and prescriptions. These standpoint and principles were repeatedly tested, revised and perfected in the long-term medical practice, coming into close proximity to the objective facts and scientific rules at last. Scientific hypothesis is also a basic foam of thinking in clinical diagnosis of TCM. The controversy among dissimilar TCM hypothesis may promote the development of TCM. |
