Abstract
    The new affection and the incubative pathogen doctrine were the major contents in the pathogenesis of febrile diseases. It was considered that the invading of external pathogenic factors can cause disease directly, and can also invade into the body to induce the disease some times later. Based on the systematical reviewing the continuing use and development of the new affection and incubative pathogen doctrine the connotations and the features of them were analyzed. Furthermore, it was put forward that the study of new affection and the incubative pathogen doctrine must be combined with modern clinical diagnosis and treatment. Especially, the incubated pathogen doctrine played an important role in the clinical differentiation of symptoms and signs and treatment.
