Abstract
|
[Objective] To explore the efficacy of Hugantang in treating hepatic damage induced by antipsychotics.[Methods] Fifty-five cases of psychiatric patients with hepatic damage induced by antipsychotics were randomly divided into two grups, the experimental group (n=28), treated by Hugantang. Twenty-seven cases in control group, treated by Tiopronin. After that, some clinic symptom and biochemical indexes reflecting liver function were observed and compared for 4 weeks.[Results] Four-Week treatment later, clinic symptom, AST, ALT as well as their recovery rates in treatment group were equal to those in the control group(P>0.05). The significantly effective rate and the overall effective rate in the treatmentgroup were 64.3%. and 92.9%, respectively, which were 63.0% and 96.3% respectively, in control group.[Conclusions] Hugantang can decrease the level of AST, ALT and has more effective in the treatment of hepatic damage induced by antipsychotics. |
