Abstract
    [Objective] To illustrate the role of Tanshinone ⅡA (Tan ⅡA) which are extracted from dan-shen root in atherosclerosis (AS) and its different targets by investigating the effect on the diastolic and systolic factors of Human umbilical vascular endothelial cell 30 (4EVC304). [Methods] By establishing the model of TNF-α-induced cultured EVC304 cell,the radioimmunoassay and nitric reductase methods were used to analyze the content of the diastolic and systolic factors in the culture medium of the EVC304,which was cultured in different denses of Tan ⅡA.[Results] It was showed that the content of the diastolic factor such as NO was significantly enhanced by of Tan ⅡA and the content of the diastolic factors such as ET-1 and TXA2 were induced significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01).But it was not effect on the content of the diastolic factor of PGI2.[Conclusion] Tan ⅡA has a significant effect on the diastolic and systolic factors to suppress the progression of AS.
