Abstract

The incidence of diabetes is the third among all the common diseases, that is less than the incidence of cardiovascular diseases and tumor in the modern society. Diabetes can sometimes leads to some serious complications. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has shown its superiority in preventing and curing diabetes and its complications. Some researches have indicated that dry and hot, yin deficiency, blood stasis, hot and damp and phlegm retention are the primary correlated factors making the occurrence of consumptive thirst. Correspondingly, heat clearing, nourishing yin, moistening dry and dispelling dampness are the commonly used therapeutic methods according to the theory of Epidemic Febrile Disease. Therefore, the theory of Epidemic Febrile Disease will provide new ways and methods for the treatment of diabetes. The author will try to classify and explain this theory. |
