Abstract
[Objective] To observe the anti-arrhythmic action of Tongmai Yangxin Pill in adrenline-induced acute arrhythmia in vivo.[Methods] Based on the model of acute arrhythmia established by sublingual intravenous injection of adrenaline, the therapeutic effect of Tongmai Yangxin Pill in the latency, duration and occurrence of arrhythmia was analyzed. Simultaneously, the activity of super oxide dismutase (SOD) and the content of malondialdehyde in serum were determined 30 minutes after intravenous injection of adrenaline.[Results] Adrenaline induced arrhythmias due to increased automony. The latency and duration as well as the occurrence of adernaline-induced arrhythmia could be significantly reduced by preadministration with Tongmai Yangxin Pill. At the same time, the activity of serum SOD was increased and the content of serum malondialdehyde was decreased.[Conclusion] Tongmai Yangxin Pill has protective effect against adrenaline-induced acute arrhythmia in rats.
