Abstract
|
[Objective] To evaluate the effect of the TCM therapy, including the ten-step bone-setting manipulation on vertebral stenosis (LDDS).[Methods] Ninety LDDS patients were classified and randomly divided into two groups,i.e.the group treated with TCM therapy (n=45) and the control group (n=45).The therapeutic period continued for 1 month and the average follow up for 12 months.Visual analogue scale (VAS) and JOA value system were observed to assess the result.[Results] There was a statistical difference on VAS values between two groups after therapy (P<0.05,P<0.01).There was also a statistical difference on JOA values (P<0.05) and the follow-up period (P<0.05) between two groups after therapy (P<0.05).The effect of reducing bone pain in TCM group was superior to that in control group.[Conclusion] The TCM therapy has a better and more continuous therapeutic effect than that of the control group. |
