Experience of invigorating the spleen and lung on treating respiratory muscle fatigue of COPD

Abstract
    The fatigue of respiratory muscle can occur in all the process of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD),including the onset,development and death and was one of important factors causing the symptom of dyspnea with rapid and short breath and some other complaint.The therapy that focused on the lung and kidney sometimes could not obtain a satisfactory curative effect.The spleen could nourish the muscle and the fatigue of respiratory muscle of COPD can be induced by deficiency of spleen QI and insufficient supply of nutrition.At the same time spleen was the center of five organs.If spleen was in good health other organs could get the nutrition from the essence acquired after birth.Therefore,when meeting a patient with the syndrome of dyspnea induced by the fatigue of respiratory muscle the treating should addressed on the spleen and unexpected satisfactory effect could be obtained.
