Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effects of curcumin, berberine and its compatibility on mRNA expression of glucose and lipid metabolism-related genes in db/db mice and provide the experimental basis for the rational compatibility.[Methods] The db/db mice were orally administered with curcumin and berberine for 28 days.Real Time RT-PCR was used to detect G-6-Pase LDLR and AGF mRNA expression in liver.[Results] Treating db/db mice with curcumin, berberine and its compatibility, curcumin low-dose (19.5mg/kg),berberine high-dose (144mg/kg) could down-regulate the expression of LDLR in liver, but without significant effect on AGF mRNA.[Conclusion] Compatibility of berberine and curcumin, may regulate the expression of glucose and lipid metabolism-related genes mRNA and its effects are better than the separated administration group. |
