Abstract
|
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a science investigating the life, health, disease and their diagnosis and treatment, which was born in Chinese ancient time. This article explored them from the next five aspects:1) the scientific attribute of TCM, namely its medical attribute, scientific attribute, era attribute and cultural attribute. 2) The social attribution of TCM, including the building of theoretic system, conformity of medical morality. Many patients were cured and the people's health was increased. 3) The characteristic advantage of TCM, namely advanced theory, flexible therapeutic method, specific approach and safety and environmental protection. 4) The difficulties in developing of TCM, including the effect of the countercurrent trying to abolish the Chinese medicine, the effect of supporting the medicine with drugs, the effect of medicine quality and the effect of unreliable news from the media. 5) The developing prospect of TCM, namely heavy task and real challenge in performing it, the prospect is light and promising. |
