| [Objective] To observe the clinical curative effect of oral administration of Chinese herbs and external use of Jinhuang plaster combined with Huoxue Huayu plaster in treating arthritis of heat type.[Methods] Seventy-six patients were randomly divided into four groups depending on the symptoms.Twelve cases of them were in the control group with damp-heat,16 in the control group with toxic-heat;20 in the treatment group with dampheat and 28 in the treatment group with toxic-heat.The patients in control and treatment groups with damp-heat received the modified Sanmiao pills and the patients in treatment group were externally used Jinhuang plaster combined with Huoxue Huayu plaster.The patients in control and treatment group with toxic-heat were given with Xinhuang tablets,while the patients in treatment group were externally used Jinhuang plaster combined with Huoxue Huayu plaster.The clinical curative effects of the two groups before and after treatment were evaluated with VAS pain score.[Results] Compared with the control group,the curative effect in both treatment groups were significantly superior in alleviating the swelling extent,pain index and tenderness index.There was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).[Conclusion] There is a significant effect when treating with oral administration of Chinese herbs combined with external use of Jinhuang plaster and Huoxue Huayu plaster. |
