| [Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on simple obesity complicated with hypertension.[Methods] Seven hundreds and thirty-one patients with simple obesity complicated with hypertension were treated with combined auricular and body acupuncture according to the differentiated typing of Chinese medicine.The change of symptoms,physical signs,obesity indexes,blood pressure and its correlating influence factors in the patients were observed before treatment and 3 mouths later.[Results] After treatment for 3 mouths the total effective rate was 93.8%.Acupuncture had good effect in treating the patients with simple obesity complicated with hypertension.The effect in patients both with severe and mild obesity was superior than that in middle patients;Effect in the younger was better than the elder;The treating effect in patients with shorter duration was more effective than the longer.Effect in female was more effective than male.[Conclusion] Acupuncture has both body weight-reducing and blood pressure-decreasing effects for patients with obesity complicated with hypertension.The effect is associated with adiposity degree,age,sex and the length of disease processes. |
