| Abstract

| Although the "treating disease before onset" can be found in Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic,its academic origins may be reviewed back to the multiformity literatures in dynasty Zhou,even Spring and Autumn period. Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic,simultaneously with summarizing the previous experience in health preserving and disease prevention,absorbing the advanced ideas of taking precautions against at beginning and destroy evils at an early stage in ancient philosophy,has provided the thoughts of three condition of disease before onset,namely disease before onset in health,latent disease before onset and pre-disease before onset.Classic on Medical Problems filled the shortcoming of Miraculous Pivot and Plain questions,has proposed another important theory-treating Zang-Fu before disease.The classical theory of disease before onset has developed in the Treatise on Febrile Diseases,Synopsis of Prescriptions of Golden Cabinet,enriched in the seasonal febrile diseases and the writings of ancient physicians.With the new cognition on the modern theory of "disease before onset" and on the basis of modern science,the traditional thought of disease before onset has been rejuvenated,more sophisticated and matured.Better development and extending will certainly be obtained in the future. |
