| [Objective] To explore the effects of compound Kushen injection (Yanshu) on the estrogen receptor-α36 in HeLa cells of human cervical cancer.[Methods] We used MTT method to detect the inhibitory effect on HeLa cell proliferation after treating by compound Kushen injection,DDP and its combinations.Using RT-PCR method the expression of ER-α36 after treating by compound Kushen injection was detected.[Results] Compound Kushen injection could inhibit the proliferation of HeLa cell and the effect was time and dose dependent.Compound Kushen injection could enhance the effect of DDP.The expression of HeLa cell ER-α36 on mRNA level after treating for 48 h by compound Kushen injection,the combination of compound Kushen injection and DDP,was reduced significantly (P<0.05).[Conclusion] Compound Kushen injection can inhibit the proliferation of HeLa cell and enhance the anticancer effect of DDP.Compound Kushen injection can reduce the expression of HeLa cell ER-α36 on mRNA level.The combined treating with these has more effective anti-tumor effect than Kushen injection. |
