| CHEN Xiu-yuan is the great physician in Qing Dynasty, who combines with individual experience and theory thinking considered, judges that the Radix Polygoni Multflori has no tonification function, and criticizes the pharmacodynamic action of Radix Polygoni Multflori to mislead the later generation in Compendium of Materia Medica. The paper analyses the opinions of others' physicians, and combines with the contemporary reports about the injury of liver induced by Radix Polygoni Multflori and its praeparatum, and discusses CHEN Xiu-yuan's individual opinions that is not to think highly by later generations. |
