Abstract
|
The TCM considers that the vital Essence and vital Qi is the material basis of the physiologic activity of human body, Spirit (vitality) is the fundamental assurance of keeping the vital activity of the organism and “the substance in side must be exhibited out side”. By observing the human morphology, face and the five sense organs, language function, tongue picture and pulse the condition of the body can be rapidly recognized and the healthy condition can be reflected. This article through the theory of Essence, Qi and Spirit, discusses the relationship of health status assessment and Essence, Qi and Spirit in order to build a theory foundation to guide the health status assessment for the human body and find the advantages of this assessment. |
