Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of auricular acupuncture combined with convalescence on patients after total knee replacement or total knee arthroplasty (TKA). [Methods] The 60 patients were divided into treatment group treated with auricular acupuncture combined with convalescence and control group treated with CPM only for 3 weeks. The effect, including knee active range of motion(AROM), WOMAC score and FIM score, in two groups was evaluated, compared and statistically analyzed. [Results] There was significant difference between the two groups in AROM, WOMAC score and FIM score. AROM of patients in treatment group was larger than those of patients in control group(P<0.01). WOMAC score of treatment group was lower than control group(P<0.05, P<0.01), and FIM score in treatment group was better than control group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] Auricular acupuncture combined with convalescence has good effect on patients with TKA. |
