Abstract
|
[Objective] To understand the current situation of family expired drug treatment in China, find out problems and put forward corresponding solutions.[Methods] By using random sampling, we had conducted a household survey of 1 350 households with self-made questionnaires in Tianjin. [Results] 90.7% of the families stock drugs; 3% of the families never pay attention to the expiration problems of reserve medicine; 83.4% of the homes throw the expired drugs directly away; 7.1% of the homes sell the expired drugs to second-hand drug-dealers. The disposition of family expired drug was in grim situation in China. [Conclusion] There are effective ways to solve the problem of improper disposition of expired medicine by strengthening hospital and pharmacy management, implementing strictly the related laws and regulations, establishing a reasonable compensation mechanism and introducing drug recovery and relevant regulatory experience from developed countries. |
