Abstract
Through consulting and tidying up the related literature materials at home and abroad, this paper summarizes the main research progress on somatic cell tissue culture of Aralia elata. Regenerated plantlets of Aralia elata can be obtained by two ways, one is embryoid into plantlet, the other is divided cluster buds into roots and then inducing roots into seedlings. In the process of somatic embryo and cluster bud induction, explants, culture medium, growth regulating substances and cultivating conditions(inoculation quantity, pH value, sugar concentration, illumination, etc.) all are playing critical roles.
