| Abstract

| [Objective] To introduce the basic function of Aiye meridians-warming instrument and explore its efficacy for treating dysmenorrhea. [Methods] Eighty female student volunteers with dysmenorrhea in Tianjin University of TCM were randomly divided into two groups. Aiye meridian-warming instrument and warming instrument were used respectively in treating dysmenorrhea during menstrual period and the efficacy was explored. [Results] Among these treated 80 cases, the total effective rate of using Aiye meridian-warming instrument and warming instrument were 87.5% and 67.5% respectively with a significant difference between these two groups(P<0.05). The difference among groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). [Conclusion] Aiye meridian-warming instrument can promote Qi and eliminate stasis, disperse cold and relieve pain with a good treatment effect for treating dysmenorrhea. |
