Abstract
[Objective] To compare the antioxidant activity of Danhong, Danshen and Honghua injection and investigate the material basis for the antioxidant activity. [Methods] DPPH free radical scavenging, ferric reducing ability, ferrous ion chelating ability experiments were used for evaluation of the antioxidant components of Danhong, Danshen and Honghua injection. The main antioxidant components in Salvia and Danhong injection were determined by HPLC. [Results] Danhong, Danshen and Honghua injection had the DPPH free radical scavenging, ferric reducing ability, ferrous ion chelating ability. [Conclusion] The results suggest that Danhong, Danshen and Honghua injection have good antioxidant activity, which is closely related to the material basis of their total phenolic content of total flavonoids.
