Abstract
|
[Objective] To isolate the chemical constituents of Eclipta prostrata L. and elucidate their structures. [Methods] The compounds were isolated by silica gel, ODS, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and PHPLC, and their structures identified by MS and NMR. [Results] Nine compounds were isolated from 70% ethanol extract of Eclipta prostrata L. and identified as 2, 2'; 5', 2''-terthiophene (1), α-formylterthienyl (2), 5-hydroxymethyl-2, 2'; 5', 2''-terthiophene (3), 2,2'; 5',2"-terthiophene-5-carboxylic acid (4), 5'-carboxaldehyde-5-(3-butene-1-ynyl)-2, 2'-bithiophene (5), 4'-chloro-1'-(5-penta-1,3-diyn-1-yl-2-thienyl)-but-2'-yn-3'-ol (6), dihydroactinidiolide (7), loliolide (8) and protocatechoic acid ethyl ester (9), respectively. [Conclusion] Compounds 6-9 are obtained from Eclipta prostrata for the first time. |
