Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the changes of cough reflex sensitivity and airway neurogenic mechanism in cough guinea pigs of Fenghan Fang's influence. Then we can discovery the target point of treatment and make foundation for new medicine. [Methods] Guinea pigs cough test induced by citric acid were randomly divided into normal control group and the model group, the Peroral Liquids of Kangbingdu group, the low dose of Fenghan Fang control group, the high dose of Fenghan Fang control group. The plethysmograph was used to assess cough reflex sensitivity. Substance P(SP)content in lung homogenates was assayed by ELISA. [Results] The CRS of Fenghan Fang control groups were significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The SPA was no statistically significant differences in Peroral Liquids of Kangbingdu group, and two groups of Fenghan Fang controled(P>0.05). [Conclusion] Fenghan Fang can reduce cough guinea pigs's CRS.
