Abstract

Drug property of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is referred to properties and performance related of drugs and therapeutic, which is the experiences of long-term clinical by China's ancient physicians, including the four properties, five tastes, channel-tropism and toxicity, but long-term since only qualitative description but no quantitative standard. This paper summarizes the current research progress on quantitative research of drug property, analyses the characteristics and problems of quantitative research of drug property, and proposed that should follow to the principle of “from the clinical, then return to the clinical”, carry out the quantitative research of drug property by an expert scale methodology of TCM quantitative research. |
