Abstract
    The paper illustrates the important role, nature and designing principles of achievement tests on the preliminary Chinese language teaching. In addition, it explains some important aspects in writing the achievement tests system via the example of analyzing the achievement tests system content and data results for international students majored in Chinese traditional medicine. The optimization of achievement tests system helps not only develop the preliminary Chinese proficiency test syllabus and Chinese proficiency test system but also improve the scientificity and applicability of current teaching materials of preliminary Chinese language courses.
