Abstract
[Objective] To study the mechanisms and effects of Shengqing Jiangzhuo prescription to improve the insulin sensitivity of MSG rats. [Methods] Copy the MSG obese rat models, which were randomly divided into model group, rosiglitazone group, fenofibrate group, three dose of Shengqing Jiangzhuo prescription. Then choose 8 normal rats as the normal control group. Measure the levels of glucose in skeletal muscle and the level of leptin in serum after administration for 50 days. Real-time PCR detect the expression level of PPAR, leptin, IRS1, IRS2, GLUT4 in skeletal muscle. [Results] Compared with the normal group, the model group improved the level of glucose in skeletal muscle and the level of leptin in serum significantly (P<0.01), and decreased the expression of PPAR, leptin, IRS1, IRS2, GLUT4 significantly (P<0.01, P<0.05). Compared with the model group, each of groups had some improvements of the level of glucose in skeletal muscle and the level of leptin and the level of genes expression. [Conclusion] Shengqing Jiangzhuo prescription improve the insulin sensitivity in MSG rats which by activating the genes expression of PPAR and leptin.
