| Abstract

| [Objective] To investigate the treatment effect of Shenque powder on rat gouty arthritis. [Methods] The rat model of hyperuricemia and gouty arthritis were built. By using full automatic biochemical analysis to observe rat's disease activity index like Uric Acid (UA), creatinine, urea nitrogen and swelling index to evaluate the pharmacodynamics of Shenque powder on ratsgouty arthritis. [Results] The model is successful when the model group and control group had remarkable difference in both two groups. After taking medicine, in hyperuricemia model, the Uric Acid (UA), creatinine and urea nitrogen have statistical significance between the administration group and model group, the difference is significant with that in the high and median dose group. In gouty arthritis model, Shenque powder high dose group had pharmacological effects on gouty arthritis began after two hours in drug use, and arthritis rats swelling index was significantly reduced, especially between 4~8 h in drug use(P<0.05), the same treatment effect with Tongfengding and colchicine. The Uric Acid (UA), creatinine, urea nitrogen, and dwelling index were still high in model group, other treatment group's disease index had decreased. As a result, the high dose group can improve pathology index of gouty arthritis, and the dose-effect relationship was shown among low, median and high dose. The median dose had the equal efficacy and the high dose had superior improving effect compared with Tongfengding and colchicine. [Conclusion] The Shenque powder is effective for gouty arthritis. |
