It has great advantage over the latter as it can motivate students and enhance their independent learning ability, thus it has been widely applied and has achieved good results both in China and abroad. This paper analyzes the opportunities and challenges brought by flipped classroom to the college English teaching from the aspects of teaching philosophy, video making, classroom activities, evaluation system and students' self-discipline.
