Abstract
[Objective] Observe the analgesic and the sedative activity based on the compatibility of Rhizoma ligusticum and Gastrodia elata in different proportions;seek the best proportion of the compatibility of Rhizoma ligusticum and Gastrodia elata.[Methods] According to the factorial design method to set up 16 different compatibility proportions. To observe the analgesic effect of different compatibility proportions on mice by hot plate test and acetic acid writhing test. With the open field test and tail suspension test to observe the sedative effects of different compatibility proportions on rats.[Results] The ninth group (Rhizoma ligusticum:Gastrodia elata is 1:3,3 g/kg) can significantly increase the pain threshold in hot plate test in mice (P<0.01).The tenth group (Rhizoma ligusticum:Gastrodia elata is 1:4,3 g/kg) can significantly reduce the writhing times of mice after intraperitoneal injection of acetic acid solution (P<0.01).The tenth group (Rhizoma ligusticum:Gastrodia elata is 1:4,2 g/kg) can significantly reduce the independent movement activity in the open field test instrument in rats (P<0.01).The fifth group (Rhizoma ligusticum:Gastrodia elata is 0:4,2 g/kg) can significantly shorten the immobility time in tail suspension of rats in the experiment (P<0.01).[Conclusion] The compatibility of Rhizoma ligusticum and Gastrodia elata can produce sedative and analgesic effect in mice and rats,in which the best compatibility proportion group is 1:4.
