Abstract
|
[Objective] To study the correlation between root respiratory metabolism and biomass accumulation in G. uralensis. It would lay a foundation for the research on exploring the possible mechanism of physiological and biochemical reaction and target harvest.[Methods] The root respiratory intensity was determined using dissolved oxygen method. The basic biochemical pathways of root respiratory were measured by inhibiting activities of key enzymes. Index of aboveground and underground biomass were obtained by the oven drying method. And the correlation between root respiratory metabolism and biomass in G. uralensis was studied by gray relational analysis.[Results] EMP-TCA and PPP respiratory pathways were the main pathways in G.uralensis roots. The root respiratory metabolic changed more significant in mid-September, and the percentage of EMP respiratory pathway was smallest, while PPP respiratory pathway was highest, and TCA respiratory pathway changed not significant. Three basic biochemical pathways were ranked according to their gray correlation degree to aboveground biomass in G. uralensis as follows:TCA (0.828 2), PPP, EMP (0.500). Three basic biochemical pathways and underground biomass accumulation have a certain degree of correlation, but the correlation coefficient and the difference between them was small.[Conclusion] TCA and PPP have a great gray correlation degree with aboveground biomass accumulation in G. uralensis. There was no significant difference in the correlation between the three basic biochemical pathways and the underground biomass accumulation. |
