Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of massage based on the cervical-thoracic related theory for cervical spondylopathy. [Methods] Sixty cases of cervical spondylopathy were randomly divided into conventional massage group (30 cases) and cervical-thoracic massage group (30 cases). Rolling manipulation, grasping manipulation, one-thumb massage, poking channels manipulation and traction were adopted upon the neck muscles. Besides the above-mentioned manipulation, Cervical-thoracic massage group also used thoracic reduction manipulation. Both groups were treated for twice a week, total three weeks. Effective rate was evaluated after treatment, and VAS score was evaluated before and after treatment. One month later, VAS score was tested too. [Results] Effective rate in cervical-thoracic massage group was higher than in conventional massage group (P<0.05). After treatment and one month later, the difference of VAS score between cervical-thoracic massage group and conventional massage group was both significant (P<0.05). [Conclusion] Massage based on the cervical-thoracic related theory can improve cervical spondylopathy observably, and has the good curative effect. It is worth worthy of widespread clinic application. |
