Abstract
|
[Objective] To evaluate the efficacy and safety of external therapy of Chinese medicine in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion(MPE).[Methods] Randomized controlled study (Meta) of Chinese medicine and foreign language database was used to retrieve the randomized controlled trials (RCT) of external therapy of Chinese medicine for the treatment of MPE from database to October 2017. The quality of the included literatures was analyzed and Revman analysis was performed.[Results] Thinteen trials involved 724 patients were included. Meta analysis results show that the single use external medicine or combined with routine treatment method not only can effectively control the MPE, but improve clinical symptoms, and improve the life and quantity of the patients; adverse reaction include skin allergy, bone marrow suppression and the liver and kidney toxicity are not obvious.[Conclusion] The external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine has good efficacy and safety in the treatment of MPE, and the reliability and stability of the above results need to be confirmed by a larger sample and high-quality RCT. |
