Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the distribution of Chinese medicine commonly used in hyperlipidemia, and summarize the treatment characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine for hyperlipidemia.[Methods] The composition of prescription medicine had been listed. Software of SPSS 19.0 had been applied to calculate the frequency and percentage of each herbs emerging in these Chinese patent drugs and the categories of these Chinese medicines (efficacy, four natures, five flavors and channel tropism) were statistically analyzed.[Results] Our country has now approved 222 Chinese patent drugs which have clearly stated indications for treating hyperlipidemia, including a total of 212 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines, the top 10 administration frequency of which were hawthorn, Polygonum, Cassia, salvia, Alisma, rhubarb, lotus, Panax, kudzu root, and astragalus. Tonify deficiency medicines (33 kinds) and drugs that could activate blood to remove stasis (15 kinds) were the majority in the high-frequency drugs. The warm, mild and cold nature accounted for the main parts in total four natures of these medicines. The main five flavors and channel tropism were sweet, bitter, pungent and liver meridian, spleen meridian respectively.[Conclusion] Chinese patent medicines for hyperlipidemia contained more tonify deficiency medicines and drugs that could activate blood to remove stasis. Others, such as heat-clearing medicines, digestives and clearing damp and promoting diuresis drugs also play important function to guide the evil out. All these reflected the complicated causes and pathogenesis of hyperlipidemia and the rule of supplementation and purgation drugs simultaneously to remedy the disease. The result can provide clinicians a reference for the best prescription in treating hyperlipidemia. |
