| Abstract

| [Objective] To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Bailing Capsule in the treatment of bronchial asthma.[Methods] We electronically searched databases including PubMed, The Cochrane Library, CNKI, Sinomed, EMbase, VIP, and WanFang Data to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) about Bailing Capsule for bronchial asthma from inception to Mar. 2017. Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data and assessed the risk of bias of included studies. Then, meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software.[Results] Seven RCTs involving 734 patients were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that:arterial partial pressure of oxygen[WMD=7.13,95% CI (6.32, 7.94),P<0.000 01].Total effective rate[RR=1.25, 95% CI (1.17, 1.33),P<0.000 01].[Conclusion] Current evidence shows, combined treatment shows better effects than Bailing Capsule alone without western medicine.We don't find any serious adverse reaction reports Due to limited quality and quantity of the included studies, more high quality studies are needed to verify the above conclusion. |
