Abstract
|
[Objective] To explore the clinical effects of herbal steaming therapy in treating blood-heat-type psoriasis based on factorial design.[Methods] Totally 90 patients were randomly divided into 9 groups to conduct a two-factor (temperature, time) three-level (temperature:38℃,40℃,42℃;time:20 min,25 min,30 min) factorial design.[Results] Combined the factor of temperature with time, there are different effect in treating blood-heat-type psoriasis with herbal steaming therapy:42℃×25 min > 42℃×30 min > 42℃×20 min > 40℃×25min > 40℃×20 min > 38℃×30 min > 40℃×30 min > 38℃×20 min > 38℃×25 min. The interaction of the statistical analysis results between time and temperature has no statistical significance (P>0.05). However, there is statistical significance (P<0.05) considering the single effect of temperature which means different value of temperature has remarkable influence on the decreasing PASI score. Furthermore, the PASI score decreases significantly when the temperature at 42℃.[Conclusion] In treating blood-heat-type psoriasis with herbal steaming therapy, the group of 42℃×25 min produces the highest curative effect and without any side effect. |
