Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of modified Qingeng Niuzang decoction on chronic urticaria of damp-heat skin type and its influence on serum interleukin-4(IL-4), immunoglobulin E(IgE)and interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma). [Methods] Ninety cases of chronic urticaria were divided into treatment group and control group, 45 cases in each group. The treatment group was given Qingeng Niuzang decoction and the control group was given loratadine 10 mg once a day. After 6 weeks of treatment, the total score of symptoms, the changes of serum IL-4, IgE and IFN-gamma were observed, and the clinical efficacy was statistically analyzed. [Results] After 6 weeks of treatment, the total scores of symptoms and TCM symptoms in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group;the levels of serum IL-4 and Ig E were lower than those in the control group, and the levels of IFN-gamma were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group were 91.11% and 71.11%, respectively. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). [Conclusion] Modified Qingeng Niuzang decoction can obviously improve itching and wind mass symptoms in patients with chronic urticaria, reduce serum IL-4, IgE levels and increase serum IFN-gamma levels. |
