Abstract
|
In recent years, the problem of critically ill patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction has been paid attention by more and more clinical doctors. So, in 2012 the working group on abdominal problems (WGAP) of European society of intensive care medicine (ESICM) normalize the gastrointestinal function of critically ill patients. In this paper, the definition, diagnosis and new type of biological markers and progress in treatment of acute gastrointestinal injury (AGI) were summarized. We believe that AGI's proposal is of great significance for the timely intervention and the improvement of prognosis of patients with early acute gastrointestinal injury. Whether some new biomarkers can be applied in clinical studies need further verification and clinical observation. From a patient's overall view of Chinese medicine, prevention and treatment of AGI has its certain characteristics. Traditional Chinese medicine and external therapy have positive effects on reducing the mortality rate of patients and reducing the patients' personal and social medical expenses, which is worthy of further study. |
