Abstract
|
There are many controversies in article 131 of Shanghanlun. The author believes that "disease in yang" can be understood as a taiyang disease with fever and slight aversion to cold. The "disease in yin" can be understood as a taiyang disease with aversion to cold and no fever. The "lump" can not be understood as epigastric oppression. It should be understood as accumulation of yin cold in viscera. The retained fluid in the blocked-up chest syndrome is produced by the purgative method that injure the spleen. |
