Abstract
Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) is a great medical system that China has contributed to the world. Thousands of years of practice have proved its necessity. Under the guidance of national policy and the joint efforts of all medical circles, the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine has developed rapidly in recent years and made brilliant achievements. Academician HAO Xishan said that the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine should be born in response to the background trend that modern diseases are complex, diverse and difficult to cure, which is the general trend. However, the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is a long process. We should not be in a hurry to achieve success. We should make steady progress.
