Abstract
    The incidence of diabetes mellitus (DM) complicated with osteoarthritis (OA) is rising,and it has become a major problem that hinders medical progress. DM is an independent risk factor for the pathogenesis of OA. The formation of a sustained high glucose environment has an irreversible effect on the pathogenesis,pathological progression and treatment outcome of OA. This article summarizes the recent epidemiological status,pathogenesis and treatment of DM complicated with OA.
