Abstract
Acute graft-versus-host disease (aGvHD) threats the survival of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation recipients. It is key to prevent cytokine storm from triggering severe immune responses and tissue damage to recipients. This review summarizes the integrative interventions of aGvHD,including the effects of natural immunosuppressants (such as triptolide and matrine) combining with classic immunosuppressants cyclosporine A in the prevention and treatment of aGvHD. It is indicated that combining immunosuppressive therapies with traditional Chinese medicine may prevent the occurrence and development of aGvHD. Therefore,we advocate a strategy for the prevention and treatment of aGvHD by integrated Chinese and western medicine, and hope to provide some new ideas for alleviating transplant complications.
