Professor WANG Songling,an old doctor of traditional Chinese medicine,thinks that the etiology and pathogenesis of hydrocephalus in children are insufficiency of spleen and kidney,deficiency of yang and stasis of water dampness and blood. The disease is located in the brain,based on the insufficiency of kidney and qi,marked by stagnation of water dampness and blood stasis,and spleen deficiency throughout the course of the disease. According to the clinical principle of harmony,the treatment of hydrocephalus in children by Invigorating the spleen and tonifying kidney,warming yang and eliminating the blood stasis usually has a satisfactory effect. The author summarizes Professor WANG Songling's experience in the treatment of pediatric hydrocephalus,in order to further explore the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of pediatric hydrocephalus and promote the clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine. |
