Abstract
|
[Objective] To study the risk factors for functional constipation(FC) in children.[Methods] A self-made questionnaire on factors related to functional constipation in children was used. 121 children with functional constipation, who admitted to our hospital from April 2019 to December 2019,were set as observation group, and 128 healthy children without FC in the same period were in control. The clinical data of the two groups were analyzed.[Results] No statistical differences were found in the different genders, weightand ages between two groups (P>0.05).Irregular defecation, fear of defecation,no defecation training, constipation, mother's diet habits during pregnancy, and family history of defecation were the risk factors for childhood FC(OR was separately 0.078,0.076, 0.074,0.124,0.282,0.169,P<0.05).[Conclusion] The formation of functional constipation in children is closely related to irregular defecation, fear of defecation,no defecationtraining, constipation, mother's diet habits during pregnancy, and family history of defecation. Early intervention can be started from its risk factors to achieve the purpose of preventing and treating constipation. |
