| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the effect of tongue acupuncture combined with body acupuncture on the symptoms of perimenopausal insomnia and the levels of serum estradiol(E2),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).[Methods] The 25cases of perimenopausal insomnia were treated with tongue acupuncture combined with body acupuncture. During the operation,body acupuncture points were taken first,such as Baihui,Taiyang,Yintang,Shenmen,Neiguan and other conventional acupuncture points,needle for 30 min,to analogue for once 10 min. Then tongue acupuncture points were taken,such as Heart point,Liver point,Kidney point,etc. The needles were inserted for 0.5~1 mm,and then the needles were twirled for 3 times in a small range (<90°),and the needles were out quickly without leaving the needle,not bleeding. Once a day,5 days as a course of treatment,one course after the rest of two days,a total of 4 courses of treatment. The changes of PSQI,Kupperman,E2,FSH and LH were observed before and after treatment.[Results] After treatment,the scores of PSQI,Kupperman,FSH and LH in serum were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05),the E2 level was higher than that before treatment(P<0.05),and the total effective rate was 92%(23/25).[Conclusion] The treatment of tongue acupuncture combined with body acupuncture can significantly improve the sleep difficulty,sleep quality,daytime function and symptoms of perimenopausal insomnia patients,and at the same time,it can reduce the serum FSH,LH levels and raise the E2 levels. |
