Abstract
|
Aging is also called senescence, the skin as the largest organ of the human body, its aging is the most direct specific manifestation of human aging. Skin aging is the result of the combined action of endogenous factors and exogenous factors, including chronological aging and photoaging. The two are clinically and histologically different, but they have similar molecular mechanisms. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has the characteristics of safety and small adverse reactions, always plays a positive role in preventing and treating skin aging. This paper mainly introduces the molecular mechanism of photoaging, summarizes the similarities of the molecular mechanism of photoaging and chronological aging, and the research status of preventing skin aging with TCM was also summarized. It provides theoretical support for TCM to prevent skin aging and even overall aging. |
