Abstract
|
[Objective] To analyze the effect of umbilical moxibustion with different moxibustion volume on St. George's respiratory questionnaire(SGRQ) score and pulmonary function of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in stable stage. [Methods] A total of 104 patients with stable COPD were enrolled in this study. They were randomly divided into 4 groups according to the 2×2 two factor crossover design, each group was treated for 2 weeks. SGRQ score, exercise endurance, satisfaction with curative effect and lung function were compared before and after treatment in each group, the effect of number of cones and frequency of moxibustion on SGRQ score was analyzed based on factorial design. [Results] 1)After treatment, SGRQ score of four groups was lower than before treatment (P<0. 05); SGRQ score of group G2 was higher than that of group G1, G4 (P<0. 05), SGRQ score of group G3 was lower than that of group G1, G2, G4 (P<0. 05). 2)After treatment, the 6-minute walk distance (6MWD) in the four groups was greater than that before treatment (P<0. 05); 6MWD in group G2 was less than that in group G1, G4 (P<0. 05), and 6MWD in group G3 was greater than that in group G1, G2, G4 (P<0. 05). 3)After treatment, the score of Effectiveness Satisfaction Questionnaire of COPD (ESQ-COPD) in four groups was higher than that before treatment (P<0. 05); ESQ-COPD score in group G3 was higher than that in group G1, G2, G4 (P<0. 05). 4)After treatment, the forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) and FEV1/forced vital capacity (FVC) in four groups were higher than those before treatment (P<0. 05); FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in group G2 were lower than those in group G1, G4 (P<0. 05), FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in group G3 were higher than those in group G1, G2, G4 (P<0. 05). 5)The number of cones and frequency of moxibustion had influence on SGRQ score changes before and after treatment, and there was interaction between the number of cones and frequency of moxibustion, the corresponding best combination was "3 cones, once every other day". [Conclusion] The best moxibustion dose combination of umbilical moxibustion therapy for COPD patients in stable stage is "three cones, once every other day", which can improve the quality of life, lung function, exercise endurance and curative effect satisfaction of patients. |
