| Abstract

| Hypertension is not as the same as vertigo or headache in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). We will be struck in trouble that the pathogenesis is inappropriate or patients have no sickness to be checked up if it is treated by main symptoms merely. This article discussed that hypertension whose basic disease location includes blood vessel and one of the significant clinic characteristics is simultaneous blood and water syndromes, could be diagnosed as water-up and blood-heat, deficiency of yang to drinks and blood stasis, as well as over nutrition with phlegm, turbidity mixed up blood. And the key treatment are supposed to regulate yin and yang of viscera basically, at the same time use both blood and water remedy to assist, such as removing water to cool blood, dispelling water to calm blood, digesting water and promoting blood. There is a remarkable efficiency about both water and blood remedy in hypertension including the number of blood pressure and common symptoms, which is worth promoting in the modern application of TCM. |
